My brother died May of 2006.  I know it is trite to say, but my brother truly was a wonderful person.  I never expected my brother to die and I have to say his passing was something I thought I would never get over.  After the funeral, after all of the cards and letters, after all of the flowers and plants, after all of the recited memories, after the return flight home and after all of "the afters" - I said life must go on as usual.  But I found that next to impossible.  The sadness would come and would not leave.  The sun would come up and the sun would go down and I never knew what happened to the day or even know what day it was. This was my sadness.  However,  my mother's sadness is a sadness that can't really be explained. Sometimes, I know my mother gets depressed, but because of her faith she tries not to let it over take her.  The passing of my brother has has affected her in so many ways. 

My brother took care of my mother after my father passed away. He simply assumed the role of my father as the patriarch of the family.  My brother tended to every need of my mother.  When I say my brother was truly a wonderful person, he was a wonderful person to family members as well as friends.  He was a successful business person that did not mind sharing his wealth even with total strangers. After my brother's passing, people would tell how homeless people or just people in need would walk up to my brother and ask for money or food.  My brother gave both, frequently and often. My brother was not reallly a religious person, but in a strange kind of way he created his own ministry while he was here on this earth.

 However, in the final days of his life, he suffered a major financial business setback caused by a lawsuit.  He had asked my mother for a loan to stabilize his business. The business is gone.  Before he could repay the loan to my mother, he passed away.  My mother would like donations to help in trying to recover her loan to my brother.  Anything you send would be a great help.  Thank you.
